Yukon Fall Camping 2011

Extremely long days and beautiful colors makes fall a fantastic time to be out and about in the Yukon. Brett and I take the chance for a 4 day weekend and paddle down a series of lakes and rivers to one enormous lake where we spend a couple of days fishing and looking for interesting things around the lake.

Hey Dan, just wanted to say a massive thanks for the information and inspiration. I bought a 125 cc moto in Chile and have biked 8000 kms around Chile and Bolivia so far.
If you want to come down to Victoria, BC in the new year give me a shout.

      Jared,

Awesome! Are you posting photos or stories online? I’d love to check them out and live vicariously through you for a while :)
If you have a minute, please update WikiOverland, I’m sure a few things like gas prices have changed slightly since they were last updated. You can just click “edit” on any page like Chile or Bolivia.

      Thanks, and have fun!

    hey dan!
I read your posts every now and then, and it`s like they remind me me every time that I should invest more time in going out and enjoy the pure beauty of nature.
I`m just so in love with the miracles that are hidden in our world.

In the past few weeks, I`m so overwhelmed by the Okinawa prefecture. There is an island called Taketomi, which caught all my attention. I went to the library and borrowed some stuff to get more information……. However, I wanted to ask if you ever made it up to Japan or Asia?

    Sayounara!

      Hey Amelie,

When i was 15 I went on exchange through high school to Japan for 3 weeks – it was absolutely amazing, and I’ve wanted to go back for a long time.

Lately I’ve been reading about how much snow they get and how amazing the snowboarding is…..

      Have fun!
