    That Thoreau quote was written by a guy named Ron Lamothe. He made a great documentary of Chris McCandless’ travels. I think it’s called Call Of The Wild, check it out!

    By the way, when you come a little further south, you need to check out the beautiful wilds of Oregon.

    WOW! Thanks for more info. I spent 126 days n an 8×10 cell meditating and doing yoga before I left the “temple”. This story has since struck a deep chord with me, resounding a truth that slept in me for so long I thought it was dead. All info is appreciated. I am planning a trip.
