The Road Chose Me Volume 2: Three years and 54,000 miles around Africa
On New Year’s Day Liz and I wandered into the centre of the city to watch the parade for the official start of the 2011 Dakar Rally. There were thousands and thousands of people partying in true Latin American fashion and we had as much fun people watching as vehicle watching.

After the motorbikes and a few beefed up 4×4’s came through we wandered in the direction of home, only to find the official “entrance parade” going right by our front door. Pretty convenient.
