Dan,
Great to meet you at Overland Expo East last week. Bought a copy of 999 Days…. Love the pics in the book. I’ve shared with family and they are all ready to take another trip to Africa.
Did notice a typo on page 3. Mauitania is missing an R. Hopefully you can correct for future printings. I’ll assume my copy will become more valuable as the multiple printings are released and I have that original version with the printing mistake.
Thanks Dan for a beautiful book. I’ve looked at all of the pics several times and can’t find a place that I don’t want to visit.
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the feedback and kind words – it was great chatting to you too!
I have actually found two typos in the book that need fixing! (now you have to find the other one….)
So yeah, it’s on my todo list to get them corrected for future printings!
All the best,
-Dan
Damn you Dan Grec. Now I’m going to read every word and find that other typo. Wait, Thank You Dan Grec. Now I’m going.to read every word again. And enjoy it just as much the second and third time.
Of course, if you knew me and my personality, your know that my goal is to find three typos.
Seriously, a beautiful book and my secret weapon to get my wife to join me and my daughter on an African trip. South Africa. Botswana. Namibia.
Haha, that’s great!
-Dan
PS if you find more than one typo, please let me know!
(You see, I baited you into being my proof-reader!!)
Hi Dan,
Do you have copies of your book? I’ll be on a little camping trip in interior BC soon and I would prefer to skip Mr. Bezos. I can be in Nelson anytime between Aug 26th – Sep 2nd if you’re around.
Steve
Hi Steve,
Sorry, I’m just seeing this now.
No, I don’t have copies of my book that I sell, Amazon is the best option.
Thanks!
-Dan
Thank you for answering the question concerning the camp chair.
My next question is, I have a 16 Wrangler Rubicon 2 door. I currently have the Rubicon wheels. I’m interested in your Mopar Winter Wheels. Do you recall the weight difference with those wheels? From the OEM Rubicon wheels to the Winter Wheels? I’m concerned about the weight on my 2-door. I’ve watched all of your You Tube videos about tire size and weight…
Thanks, Durwin
Hi Durwin,
Sorry, I’ve never weighed them and I don’t know the difference. They are certainly heavier though.
I think Quadratec lists the weight of them, but I’m not sure…
Good luck!
-Dan
