    Hello Dan,
In 2011 I visited South Africa for 3 months. One of the books that was educational and inspiring was a book written by Kingsley Holgate titled, Afrika, Dispatches from the Outside Edge.
If you have not read this book this will give you some valuable in site of what to expect in the various countries in Africa.
    Sincerely,
    Mike
