I’ve just come for a drive into town and the Jeep is still going great even after such a long break.
The map on the hood gets a TON of attention from all the travelers coming through the hostel

Your Jeep must be wondering what the heck is going on! LOL – be careful you dont stay too long and start putting down roots.

We just got back a week ago from a 6k mile overland trip to South Dakota and Wyoming. Wish I were heading out again. 3 weeks was just a drop in the bucket, but oh such a nice break from the “real world”.

I have malaria tablets with me, but I have not been to any places where they are needed yet. If I hop into the Amazon I’ll start taking them I think.

I hope to be doing Peru in two months time, just out of curiosity have you been taking any tablets to prevent malaria while your in south America ?

Hope all is well wherever you are! Still at Cotopaxi? If you are, hope it`s going good.

Just booked my flight home come August 2 and the realization on being done traveling for now is hitting me. Anyways, just wanted to say whats up and looking forward to the next update. It`ll help me get through the whole having a job phase.

Hey Nikki, Sounds like you’ve had an amazing adventure.
Things to see and do: I didn’t sail through the San Blas islands from Colombia to Panama, but really wish I had.
Isla Ometepe in Nicaragua is amazing.. Guatemala is my favorite country for sure in central…

hey dan, congrats on your 1 year anniversary! Congrats on a full year on the road! I know it’s lots of hard work (I’m at 10 months, and way behind you in Central America.) The romantic notion of the wandering vagabond is not always as glamorous in reality… but it’s often pretty close
